All local calls and international calls to the USA and Canada are free. Calls to other destinations are billed additionally. For example, a 2-minute call to Australia would be charged a $0.06 fee.
8x8 includes unlimited calling to more locations as compared to Dialpad.
Calls to countries other than those included in the unlimited calling feature are billed at a location-specific per minute rate. For example, calls to India and China are billed at a $0.06 per minute rate while calls to Nepal are billed at a $0.39 per minute rate.
Subscribers can create accounts with Dialpad on the website with their own number or by getting a new number. Next, subscribers must download a chrome extension for their web browsers or install the Dialpad application on their smartphones, laptops or desktops. Dialpad services can also be accessed through certain Obihai, Yealink and Polycom phones. These phones and the adapters for them are available in the market or can be purchased through Dialpad.
8x8 has a simple online account creation process similar to Dialpad. You will need a valid email address. Once the account has been registered, download the 8x8 application for smartphones and desktops and login to start using the 8x8 services.
